About SpiceFit™ Founder, Dr. Melina Jampolis
Over the span of her career, Dr. Melina Jampolis’ focus has been clear: to help as many people as possible achieve their ideal health and weight goals. Creating SpiceFit™ is just one of her many endeavours to further her mission.
Dr. Melina Jampolis is trained in internal medicine and one of only a small number of board-certified physician nutrition specialists practicing in the United States. She has specialized exclusively in nutrition for weight loss, disease prevention, and treatment for the past 15 years.
A graduate of Tufts University and Tufts School of Medicine,
Dr. Melina completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, a Stanford University teaching hospital, and previously held the position of President of the National Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists.
Dr. Melina believes wholeheartedly in the role of nutrition in preventive medicine, and she teaches a realistic, balanced, and manageable lifestyle-based eating and exercise program. Over the years, she has helped thousands of clients improve their health and well-being, and she’s particularly passionate about bridging the gap between expert nutrition and diet research and the “real-life” choices that people face daily.

Working to Raise Healthier Kids
Living in Los Angeles with her husband and young sons, Dr. Melina maintains a small private practice. She is dedicated to the treatment and prevention of childhood obesity and malnutrition, particularly in low income, minority populations. Her volunteer work includes helping to launch a health food pantry in San Francisco’s Hunter’s Point neighborhood and bi-weekly family nutrition and obesity counseling at the Bresee Foundation in Los Angeles, a center for low income, minority children. She also serves on the advisory board of schoolmenu.com, which helps provide parents with tools to raise healthier kids.
